Accounting Manager (CPA) – Philippines

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the accounting function, ensuring compliance with Philippine accounting standards and tax regulations while delivering accurate financial reporting. This role oversees budgeting, forecasting, payroll and drives process improvements to support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger.
• Analyze financial activities to identify tax‑saving opportunities and implement tax‑efficiency strategies.
• Ensure all transactions comply with applicable tax laws and conduct regular audits.
• Assist in budgeting sales and expenses, forecast financial performance, and compare budget versus actual results.
• Validate the accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions before period closing.
• Lead, train, and motivate the accounting team, delegate tasks, and evaluate performance.
• Verify payroll computations, deductions, and salary payments for accuracy.
• Continuously improve accounting systems and procedures, strengthen internal controls, and collaborate with other departments for enhancements.

Required profile

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proven leadership and people‑management skills.
• Excellent time‑management, communication, problem‑solving, and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Philippine accounting standards.
• Knowledge of Philippine tax laws.
