Accounting Head

About the role

The Gastro Club Corporation (TGC) is seeking an experienced Accounting Head to lead its accounting and finance functions. This senior role will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations for a growing food and beverage business in Davao City.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and finance activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely processing of transactions.
• Review and verify payroll, check vouchers, bank transactions, cash deposits, and reconciliations.
• Lead budget preparation, financial reporting, and management reporting.
• Manage tax preparation, compliance, and coordination with external accountants, banks, and financial institutions.
• Supervise disbursements, liquidations, asset transactions, event expenses, and service charge computations.
• Maintain accounting records using QuickBooks and Google Workspace.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and enforce compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Establish financial controls and procedures to safeguard assets and provide insights for business planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management Accounting, or Finance.
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and internal controls.
• Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and confidentiality in handling financial information.

Required skills

• Proficiency in QuickBooks.
• Experience using Google Workspace for accounting record‑keeping.
