Accounting Analyst – General Accounting (Upstream)

About the role

Chevron Philippines is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join its finance team in Makati City. The role focuses on general accounting activities for the upstream business, supporting month‑end close, reporting and compliance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inventory and materials & supplies accounting.
• Manage accounts receivable processes and related accruals.
• Execute month‑end‑close activities, including calculations, postings, allocations and adjustments.
• Conduct month and quarterly account reconciliations.
• Handle foreign‑exchange rate management in JD Edwards (JDE).
• Calculate and post revenue accrual entries.
• Prepare royalty calculations and reports for tax authorities.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls.
• Support stabilization of newly migrated processes and special ad‑hoc projects.
• Apply productivity tools such as data modelling, Power Automate, PowerApps, RPA and data analytics to improve processes.
• Coordinate IUAS‑wide projects and maintain up‑to‑date process documentation.
