About the role
The Accountant – Records to Report supports daily accounting functions, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. You will work closely with cross‑functional finance teams to maintain smooth financial operations and reliable reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Perform daily Record‑to‑Report (R2R) activities, adhering to internal controls and closing schedules.
- Prepare and post standard journal entries for accruals, pre‑payments, re‑classifications, depreciation, amortisation and other routine transactions.
- Prepare timely balance‑sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
- Conduct P&L review and variance analysis to support month‑end closing and financial reporting.
- Support fixed‑asset, intercompany, cost‑allocation and other general‑ledger processes.
- Assist internal and external audit teams by providing documentation and responding to queries.
- Maintain process documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
- Collaborate with Tax, Statutory Reporting, Entity Controllers and other finance teams for end‑to‑end reporting.
- Participate in process‑improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, standardisation and automation.
- Handle ad‑hoc tasks, special reporting requirements and other finance support activities as needed.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in General Ledger or Record‑to‑Report accounting, preferably in a multinational or shared‑services environment.
- Good understanding of IFRS and US GAAP with willingness to deepen technical accounting knowledge.
- Experience with SAP or other major ERP systems; familiarity with Workday and automation tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to meet tight month‑end deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across global teams.
- Flexibility to work a mid‑shift (1:00 PM – 10:00 PM) to support regional and global finance operations.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
