About the role
Equinix is seeking an Accountant II to support GL Accounting Operations with a focus on intercompany transactions. The role involves month‑end close activities, intercompany analysis, and ensuring compliance with SOX and SEC reporting requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Perform month‑end close, including preparing and posting journal entries and intercompany company transactions.
- Execute intercompany analysis, prepare reconciliations, and support SOX control execution.
- Prepare PBC disclosures, external reporting, and any additional regional disclosures required for SEC reporting.
- Generate month‑end management reporting and partner with upstream data owners, auditors, and the Global Process Manager to resolve accounting matters.
- Participate in moderate‑scope process‑improvement projects and apply general accounting principles to technical accounting tasks.
Required profile
- 1+ years of accounting experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Developed understanding of general accounting principles and ability to apply them to transaction accounting.
