Accountant II – Fixed Asset & Project Accounting

About the role

The Accountant II will perform general accounting activities, preparing and reconciling ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets and profit‑and‑loss statements. The role focuses on fixed‑asset, lease, and project accounting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records and control over the company’s fixed assets and project‑related financial activities.
• Prepare supporting documentation for fixed‑asset additions, disposals, transfers, and adjustments.
• Process and maintain fixed‑asset transactions within the asset management system.
• Prepare and monitor lease agreements, schedules, and related accounting records for lease accounting.
• Generate capitalization reports and profit‑and‑loss contra‑expense analyses for labor, contractor, and project costs.
• Monitor projects to ensure compliance with capitalization policies and thresholds.
• Analyze significant variances in project, fixed‑asset, and profit‑and‑loss accounts.
• Coordinate asset verification, inventory activities, and asset tagging to ensure record accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; solid skills in Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, multitask and meet deadlines.
• Strong documentation, organizational and communication skills.
