Accountant (General Ledger)

About the role

Join the Finance Team of a leading global payments company as a General Ledger Accountant. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, support compliance, and help drive operational excellence across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Drive month‑end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries, to meet business and compliance deadlines.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve account discrepancies, reducing risk and improving data quality.
• Provide insightful account analysis and variance reporting to enable informed stakeholder decisions.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and increase reporting efficiency.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation and uphold Global Payments’ accounting policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy with at least 5 years of experience in general accounting or audit.
• Proven success managing month‑end close, journal entries, and complex balance‑sheet reconciliations with high accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to investigate discrepancies and deliver effective resolutions.
• Fluent English communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast‑paced environment.
• Preferred: CPA designation and experience supporting multinational operations.

• Experience with Oracle ERP systems.
• Experience with SAP ERP systems.
