Accountant (General Ledger)

About the role

We are seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our global payments team. In this role you will support the month‑end close, maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, support the month‑end close and maintain the financial system.
• Perform bank reconciliations and conduct financial analysis to verify report accuracy.
• Maintain internal controls, organized documentation and audit‑ready records.
• Manage tax filings, regulatory reporting and provide documentation for audits.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, uphold company policies and stay current with accounting standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
• Minimum two years of experience in general accounting, general ledger or financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls and month‑end processes.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work with high attention to detail.
• Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Preferred CPA qualification and experience working with auditors.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office applications.
• Oracle (or similar automated accounting system).
