Accountant – General Ledger & Cash Management

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to manage the general ledger, cash and banking processes for four UK trading entities within the Altrad Group. The role involves month‑end support, cash‑flow monitoring and collaboration with finance colleagues across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger, banking and month‑end activities for four UK entities.
• Process daily cash and bank transactions, reconcile multi‑currency accounts and support cash‑flow reporting.
• Upload month‑end data into Adaptive Insights‑CICO and generate month‑end reporting.
• Handle internal hire postings, project inbox management and verification of project setups.
• Post AIA/Hertel invoices and process monthly journals, including fixed fees and ad‑hoc journal requests.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and aged control‑account reporting for debtors and creditors.
• Provide general finance support and assist with audit activities related to cash and banks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting or finance support experience.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage workload in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivots, lookups, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP).
• Experience with Adaptive Insights or similar budgeting and reporting tools.
