Accountant – Full Cycle Accounting in Healthcare

About the role

Alumus, a growing healthcare company in the United States, is looking for a highly motivated Accountant to join its team through the employment partner Deel. The role focuses on monthly close, financial statement preparation, and supporting accounts payable across multiple healthcare entities.

Key responsibilities

• Full‑cycle accounting for Skilled Nursing, Senior Housing, Home Health, and Hospice facilities.
• Prepare monthly balance sheets and income statements.
• Perform account reconciliations and month‑end adjusting journal entries.
• Drive process and procedure improvements.
• Collaborate closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll teams.
• Execute special projects for senior leadership as needed.
• Oversee state tax filings where applicable.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• At least 3 years of experience applying GAAP.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
• Team‑oriented personality with strong time‑management and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Experience with payroll systems and reporting.
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting standards.
