Accountant – Food Business

About the role

The Accountant will manage and monitor the financial records, transactions, and reporting processes for a fast‑growing food business. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards and government regulations, and supports daily operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and reconciliations.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
• Monitor daily sales, cash flow, and branch financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Track food cost, inventory variances, operational expenses, and branch profitability.
• Ensure timely filing and compliance with BIR and other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with Operations, Purchasing, Warehouse, and other departments on financial matters.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and schedules.
• Identify process improvements and recommend cost‑control measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Management, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in food, restaurant, retail, or hospitality.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and government compliance.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail, excellent organization, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to work onsite and render overtime when necessary.
