Accountant – Financial Statements & Trust Reconciliations

About the role

We are looking for an accurate, organized Accountant to join TOA Global’s Manila team and support a US public accounting firm. The role involves preparing client financial statements, executing year‑end closes, and handling specialized trust‑account reconciliations on a full‑time onsite basis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare client financial statements, compile open‑item lists, and assemble note disclosures under GAAP or OCBOA.
• Execute year‑end accounting closes, tie out balance‑sheet accounts, post adjusting journal entries, and deliver clean trial‑balance workpapers for tax filings.
• Perform monthly bank, credit‑card and loan reconciliations, coding transactions and maintaining accurate general‑ledger details.
• Conduct three‑way monthly trust‑account reconciliations for property‑management clients in compliance with Oregon Real Estate Agency rules.
• Communicate professionally with clients to gather documentation, resolve queries, track engagement budgets, and protect confidential financial records.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of accounting experience, including public‑accounting or staff‑accounting roles.
• Proficiency with general‑ledger platforms, preferably QuickBooks Online (multiple files) or AppFolio.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, lookups, formatting).
• Strong understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping, accrual vs. cash basis, and financial‑statement assembly.
