Account Manager - Local Payments

About the role

Coins, the leading crypto brand in the Philippines, is looking for an Account Manager to drive the adoption of its local payment solutions. You will work closely with merchants across multiple industries to onboard them onto POS terminals, QR payments and e‑wallet services, while ensuring a high level of satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, approach and onboard new merchants to use Coins’ payment services.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing merchants to increase usage and retention.
• Negotiate merchant discount rates, commercial terms and service agreements.
• Collaborate with product, technology and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and integration.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for merchant queries, support and escalations.
• Monitor account performance, track transaction volumes and uncover growth opportunities.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings and customer needs in payments and fintech.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in merchant acquisition, business development or account management, preferably in fintech, banking, payments or e‑commerce.
• Proven track record of closing deals and managing a high‑volume portfolio.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a strong drive to meet targets and KPIs.
• Self‑starter with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to coordinate with international partners and stakeholders.
• Positive customer feedback and quota achievement history.
• Mandarin Chinese language skills are a plus.
