Social Media Manager – Sports Content

About the role

We are looking for a Social Media Manager to lead Alta Sports’ presence on Facebook, TikTok and Instagram. The role focuses on sports content, audience growth and performance analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Alta Sports’ Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram accounts.
• Develop and execute strategies to grow followers, reach, engagement and online communities.
• Create and publish daily sports‑related content, including posts, captions, graphics, short‑form videos and reels.
• Monitor local and international sports news and trends to produce timely, engaging content.
• Produce original content independently from concept to publishing.
• Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster an active sports community.
• Plan and manage campaigns, contests, giveaways and promotional activities.
• Schedule posts based on audience behavior and platform performance.
• Manage boosted posts and paid social media advertising campaigns.
• Analyze metrics and prepare insights on reach, engagement, follower growth and campaign performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing Facebook, TikTok, Instagram or multiple social media platforms.
• Demonstrated success in growing followers and online communities.
• Strong understanding of social media algorithms, trends and engagement strategies.
• Deep knowledge of local and international sports and ability to react quickly to breaking news.
• Ability to create content independently without relying on writers, designers or video editors.
• Basic photo and video editing skills; experience with Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro or After Effects is a plus.
• Familiarity with social media analytics and performance metrics.
• Experience with Facebook/Meta boosting and paid social media campaigns.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Creative, proactive and able to work under tight deadlines, especially during major sporting events.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays and extended hours for live sports coverage.
