Senior Wayfinding Designer

About the role

The Senior Wayfinding Designer will lead the creation of wayfinding strategies and design solutions for luxury hotels, mixed‑use developments and large precincts. You will translate complex architectural environments into clear, logical signage systems and ensure they are well documented for construction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop wayfinding strategies from first principles and define sign locations, hierarchies and messaging logic.
• Analyse architectural drawings to map user journeys, movement patterns and decision points.
• Produce complete documentation packages including wayfinding plans, message schedules, sign schedules and bills of quantities.
• Create 1–3 concept options, design sign families and prepare polished presentation decks for internal and client review.
• Extract and clean architectural plans and elevations for clear visual explanations of wayfinding intent.
• Work independently while collaborating with a Sydney‑based design team and manage multiple projects across different phases.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional wayfinding design experience.
• Strong background in hospitality, mixed‑use, retail and office environments.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Strategic thinking and deep understanding of user movement through space.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Knowledge of Revit or BIM (advantage).
• Ability to work confidently across 2D and 3D design workflows.
