Senior Staff Accountant

About the role

The Senior Staff Accountant will support the corporate accounting function by handling cash reconciliations, lease accounting under ASC 842, balance‑sheet reconciliations, month‑end close activities and financial reporting. The role works closely with the Corporate Accounting team to ensure accurate, timely financial information while complying with U.S. GAAP and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain lease accounting schedules, prepare monthly ASC 842 entries, and support lease onboarding and modifications.
• Prepare and reconcile bank accounts and cash balances, investigate variances, and coordinate with treasury, AP, AR and payroll.
• Produce monthly balance‑sheet account reconciliations, analyze variances and certify accounts within close deadlines.
• Assist with credit‑card administration, expense‑report audits, and month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Support internal and external audit requests, maintain organized workpapers and adhere to accounting policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 4‑6+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a U.S. GAAP environment.
• Experience with lease accounting under ASC 842 is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as IFS, SAP, Oracle or NetSuite.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
