SCADA Operator – Coal Handling System

About the role

Therma Luzon, Inc. is seeking a SCADA Operator to monitor and operate the Coal Handling System at its Pagbilao plant. You will ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations by managing real‑time data and coordinating with operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and operate coal handling equipment (unloading, conveying, dust suppression, sampling) via SCADA.
• Analyze system parameters such as flow rate, pressure, and equipment performance.
• Coordinate with field personnel to address alarms, faults, and operational issues.
• Record operational data, maintain logs, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience in SCADA operations or similar control systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SCADA systems and plant monitoring tools.
• Basic knowledge of coal handling systems and power plant operations.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting, alarm handling, and equipment monitoring.
• Working knowledge of safety procedures (e.g., Lock‑Out‑Tag‑Out) and operational compliance standards.
