Safety Officer

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Safety Officer to lead occupational risk prevention across its Manila operations, supporting construction, maintenance and real‑estate projects. You will ensure compliance with health‑and‑safety regulations and embed corporate safety protocols into daily work.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments at work centres and workstations, documenting hazards and tailoring prevention measures.
• Update and adapt prevention plans for each business division, reflecting specific site characteristics.
• Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety regulations in operations and strategic projects, especially in mobility, logistics and construction units.
• Investigate accidents, analyse root causes and propose corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure consistent implementation of the corporate occupational risk prevention protocol across all areas.
• Translate corporate safety objectives into operational plans for each business unit.
• Collaborate with corporate functions and business leaders to develop and monitor corrective actions from audits and inspections.
• Perform periodic site visits to verify compliance and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective measures.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and proactive work ethic.
• HSE certification (BOSH, COSH or OSH).
• Bachelor’s degree in a construction‑related field or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer.
