QMS & Compliance Engineer

About the role

The QMS & Compliance Engineer will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) for an aerospace manufacturing site. You will ensure the system complies with AS9100, ISO9001 and customer‑specific requirements while supporting audit readiness and cross‑functional process excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate approval, release, revision, storage and notification of all QMS documentation (procedures, work instructions, manuals, forms).
• Maintain 3‑year document review cycles and manage document ballots for new, revised or cancelled items.
• Evaluate existing documentation to eliminate redundancy and align with core quality processes.
• Lead initiatives to harmonise and standardise procedures, templates and forms across the business unit.
• Define and sustain a unified documentation structure and control framework for the site.
• Drive document change‑control activities, including stakeholder engagement and version control.
• Develop communication plans, training materials and guidance for new or revised requirements.
• Support preparation for internal and external (1st, 2nd, 3rd party) audits.
• Apply root‑cause and corrective‑action (RCCA) methodologies to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 6 years experience in Quality Engineering or QMS roles within aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 requirements and their practical application.
• Familiarity with AS9145 (APQP/PPAP) is a strong advantage.
