Project Accounting Analyst

About the role

As a Project Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting end-to-end project accounting life cycle activities for assigned projects. The role will be involved with stakeholder coordination to execute processes that will drive the completion of assigned projects.

Key responsibilities

• Handle mildly complex project set‑up in line with project manager requirements.
• Handle mildly complex reforecasting projects in line with project manager requirements.
• Ensure billing is completed as per project manager instructions.
• Process fixed‑price invoicing and time‑and‑materials invoicing.
• Review and ensure correct revenue recognition (POC %, cost, revenues, WIP/POA).
• Communicate project results, deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor work in progress and payment on account.
• Maintain forecast and actual project billing dates.
• Initiate continuous process improvement and identify best practices.
• Identify and analyse transaction and workflow details to support improvements.
• Facilitate review and ensure compliance and proper documentation for each project accounting process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of end‑to‑end project lifecycle, project accounting concepts, methodology and contract types.
• At least one year of relevant experience in project accounting.
• Experience with Oracle NetSuite is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive self‑starter with strong organizational skills and ability to oversee multiple projects.
• Team‑player who can work under pressure with minimal supervision.
