Product Development Specialist & Regulatory Compliance Officer

About the role

The company seeks a Product Development Specialist who will also act as a Regulatory Compliance Officer for its poultry division. The role blends product innovation with ensuring all formulations, labels and processes meet Philippine and international food regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret updates to FDA, NMIS, DA, BFAR and other relevant regulations.
• Review product concepts, formulations, ingredients and processing methods for regulatory feasibility.
• Approve product labels, nutrition facts, allergen statements and marketing claims.
• Prepare and maintain regulatory dossiers, manage FDA product registrations and amendments.
• Support commercialization, change management and plant validation activities.
• Assist during FDA, NMIS and third‑party audits, providing required documentation and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with R&D, QA, manufacturing, procurement, packaging, marketing and legal teams.
• Deliver regulatory awareness training and continuously improve compliance procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in regulatory affairs, quality assurance, food safety or product development within food manufacturing.
• Experience in poultry or meat processing is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Philippine food regulations (FDA, NMIS, Food Safety Act).
• Food labeling and additive regulations.
• Product registration processes and regulatory documentation.
• HACCP, GMP and SSOP systems.
• Risk assessment and food standards (PNS, Codex, ISO/FSSC 22000).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
