Personal Injury Legal Assistant (Remote, Full‑Time)

About the role

This remote, full‑time position supports a personal injury law firm by managing case workflows, drafting settlement demands, and ensuring consistent client communication throughout treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for clients during treatment and demand preparation, maintaining up‑to‑date records in the case management system.
• Draft clear, persuasive settlement demands and submit them to insurance carriers after confirming treatment completion.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients every 7–10 business days, promptly returning calls and emails.
• Identify potential Medicare involvement, document lien findings, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and state privacy laws.
• Accurately document all case activity, client communications, and manage billing and medical record retrieval.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated legal support professional who manages their own priority queue without daily supervision.
• Strong commitment to client care, providing a warm, reassuring tone during phone interactions.
• High energy, sense of urgency, and excellent organization to keep cases moving and communications timely.
• Reliability to work US Eastern Time (9 AM–5 PM ET) consistently.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with legal CRM systems, preferably Smart Advocate.
• Proficiency with VOIP/phone software, preferably RingCentral.
• Familiarity with Outlook for calendaring and email management.
