Mechanical Design Engineer – Remote (Philippines)

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our PMO‑PMC team and support international construction projects. This remote position, based in the Philippines, focuses on developing and coordinating mechanical designs such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mechanical system designs for construction projects, ensuring adherence to quality control and safety regulations.
• Review and evaluate engineering drawings and technical documents related to mechanical systems.
• Participate in scope definition discussions, capturing client priorities on quality, cost, and site conditions.
• Prepare preliminary scope documentation, checklists, and reports for integration into the design process.
• Oversee design of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical services, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist in bid preparation, cost estimating, and generation of bills of materials and quantities.
• Identify efficient installation methods and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Track project data, including material lists, procurement status, and inventory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree and PE registration are highly preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical design engineering and project coordination on construction or refurbishment projects.
• Proven ability to work proactively in multidisciplinary environments and ensure design compliance.
