Layout Designer – Integrated Circuits

About the role

Analog Devices’ Digital Healthcare Engineer group is seeking a Layout Designer to create integrated circuit layouts for medical imaging products such as CT, digital X‑ray and ultrasound. The role involves moderate‑complexity layout work with guidance, progressing to more challenging projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement IC layouts with moderate complexity for medical imaging applications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and global teams to ensure design intent and performance.
• Perform layout verification using industry tools and follow best practices for reliability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of layout methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant layout experience.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional, global environment.

Required skills

• Extensive analog block‑level layout experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of semiconductor device physics, cross‑section and construction.
• Understanding of layout principles, IC reliability and failure mechanisms.
• Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso XL (advantage).
• Experience with Calibre verification tools (advantage).
• Familiarity with analog front ends, DACs, ADCs (advantage).
