Director, Project Engineering

About the role

The Director, Project Engineering leads major capital‑expenditure initiatives for manufacturing and logistics across all sites. The role oversees the full project life‑cycle—from feasibility and concept development through design, construction, commissioning and hand‑over—ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute strategies for multi‑billion‑peso capex projects, including new manufacturing plants.
• Develop project schedules, operating and capital budgets, and performance control standards.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams such as Real Estate, Design, Procurement, R&D, Legal, Facilities Management and external partners (architects, contractors, vendors).
• Manage design and construction teams, monitor scope, quality, timeline and cost targets.
• Prepare regular reports on spending, schedule status and forecasted expenditures for senior management.
• Establish monitoring systems to ensure compliance with standards, policies and procedures, and to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead the creation and deployment of project‑management, engineering and construction standards, tools and best practices.

Required profile

• Proven ability to direct large‑scale capex projects exceeding P2 billion.
• Experience working across manufacturing and logistics environments.
• Strong stakeholder management with internal departments and external consultants.
• Subject‑matter expertise in project engineering and construction.
