Junior QA Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer to join Angkas, a leading ride‑hailing platform in the Philippines. In this role you will perform manual testing across our mobile and back‑office applications, validate APIs and user flows, and help ensure a high‑quality experience for millions of riders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct manual functional, UI/UX, exploratory and regression testing on iOS, Android and back‑office apps.
• Validate end‑to‑end user flows and data synchronization across the application ecosystem.
• Create, organize and maintain reusable test cases, scenarios and acceptance checklists.
• Log detailed, reproducible defects in Jira with steps, screenshots, videos and system logs.
• Inspect API requests and responses using Postman.
• Test cross‑platform compatibility across devices, screen resolutions and browsers.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning and feature refinements within an Agile team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Understanding of STLC, SDLC and core QA methodologies.
• Strong grasp of manual test execution and design techniques such as boundary value analysis and equivalence partitioning.
• Ability to write clear, actionable defect reports.
• High attention to detail, critical‑thinking and strong communication skills.
