Inventory Analyst – Raw Material Shipment

About the role

The Inventory Analyst – Raw Material Shipment is responsible for coordinating global raw‑material shipments across multiple manufacturing sites. The role ensures timely fulfillment of material requests while balancing inventory availability, allocation priorities and operational constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage shipment plans for raw‑material transfer requests.
• Review and validate shipment requests against inventory availability.
• Prioritize shipments based on customer demand, production needs and business impact.
• Coordinate material allocations during supply shortages and constrained situations.
• Ensure timely processing of shipment requests and purchase‑order requirements.
• Monitor shipment status, proactively resolve issues and mitigate delivery delays.
• Collaborate with planning, manufacturing, logistics and warehouse teams to maintain supply continuity.
• Manage material shortages and shipment risks, coordinating recovery plans and ETA updates.
• Resolve shipment disruptions related to quality concerns, inventory discrepancies, allocation changes and logistics constraints.
• Provide clear shipment status updates to stakeholders and drive issue escalation when needed.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual planning, increase visibility and improve reporting accuracy.
• Maintain and document standard operating procedures supporting shipment processes.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating inventory and raw‑material shipments across multiple sites.
• Ability to prioritize work based on demand, production schedules and business impact.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to address material shortages and logistics challenges.
• Effective communication with cross‑functional teams including planning, purchasing, logistics and warehouse.
