Engineer I – Customer Quality Engineer

About the role

Ultra Clean Technology (UCT) is seeking a motivated Engineer I to support customer quality activities in the Philippines. You will work closely with customers and cross‑functional teams to address quality concerns, drive problem resolution and ensure compliance with customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation, review and submission of customer quality documentation in accordance with customer and company standards.
• Conduct and support First Article Inspection, Product Quality Report, Receiving Inspection, Manufacturing Record Book, SPOT Audits and other assigned quality activities.
• Monitor and follow up on quality‑related action items to ensure timely completion and closure.
• Maintain quality data in MES and Agile systems and assist with system setup and maintenance.
• Investigate customer quality issues, coordinate root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collect, prepare and report quality data and status updates for monitoring customer performance.
• Coordinate with customers and cross‑functional teams to communicate concerns and track outstanding actions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits and other programs to enhance product and process quality.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of quality management principles, tools and problem‑solving methods.
• Understanding of customer quality requirements, specifications, drawings and inspection criteria.
• Ability to analyze quality data, identify trends and support root‑cause analysis.
• Strong organizational and follow‑up skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate issues.
• Willingness to learn customer‑specific requirements and quality processes.

Required skills

• Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution System) platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile quality management software.
• Working knowledge of SAP enterprise systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
