Design Officer

About the role

The Design Officer is responsible for upholding the design standards of a major shopping mall. This role involves managing design projects from concept through completion while ensuring quality, budget control, and compliance with established standards. The position works closely with contractors, tenants, and internal teams to deliver functional and aesthetically pleasing mall environments.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute mall design projects from concept to completion, maintaining quality, budget control, and adherence to design standards.
• Oversee construction activities and contractor performance to guarantee design accuracy, workmanship quality, and timely delivery.
• Inspect mall facilities, recommend restorations, and ensure regular maintenance and safety compliance.
• Review tenant design plans and coordinate them with overall mall development standards.
• Promote continuous learning by participating in training, skill‑enhancement, and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align design solutions with business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
• Preferably a Registered Architect or Registered Civil Engineer.
• At least two (2) years of experience in design development and project management.
