Construction Estimator – Wood Framing

About the role

We are looking for a Construction Estimator specialized in wood framing to join our growing team. You will play a key part in preparing competitive bids for residential and commercial projects, ensuring accuracy and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and scope documents to prepare detailed framing estimates.
• Coordinate the end‑to‑end bidding process, ensuring proposals are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
• Interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings to determine labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor needs.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes, negotiate pricing, and incorporate the most competitive options.
• Collaborate with project managers, operations, and leadership to align estimates with capabilities and profitability goals.
• Maintain and update pricing databases, labor rates, and historical bid information.
• Identify project risks, scope gaps, and value‑engineering opportunities.
• Track bid performance, monitor award outcomes, and generate reports to improve win rates.

Required profile

• Minimum 2.5 years of experience in bid management, estimating, or pre‑construction within framing, construction, or general contracting.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
• Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple bids, meet strict deadlines, and work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
