Construction Estimator – Residential Renovations (Sydney)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Construction Estimator to support residential renovation and extension projects. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, performing quantity take‑offs, and coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors within the Australian construction market.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for residential projects.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
• Conduct quantity take‑offs for materials, labour and subcontractor services.
• Assist with tender preparation, request and compare quotations.
• Maintain estimating templates, pricing spreadsheets and cost databases in Wunderbuild.
• Coordinate RFQs, follow up on pending quotes and record supplier pricing.
• Support the transition of projects from estimating to construction.
• Document and improve estimating processes, including SOP development.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience using Wunderbuild.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Australian residential construction practices.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and construction documentation.
• Proactive communication with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.

Required skills

• Wunderbuild software.
• Microsoft Excel for pricing spreadsheets.
• AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT for productivity enhancements.
