Civil Engineer - Solar Design & Review

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with a strong background in design and design review for solar projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that all civil and structural aspects of solar installations meet industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role is critical in guaranteeing the integrity, safety, and efficiency of solar farm infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough design reviews of civil and structural plans for solar projects, including foundations, mounting structures, and site layouts, ensuring compliance with local codes, international standards, and project‑specific requirements, while identifying risks and proposing cost‑effective solutions.
• Provide technical input on site grading, drainage systems, access roads, and other civil works for solar farms, collaborating with design teams to optimise layouts for efficiency and constructability.
• Validate structural calculations for solar mounting systems and foundations, review geotechnical reports, and ensure proper integration of geotechnical data into the design.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and EPC contractors to align civil designs with overall project goals, preparing detailed review reports, compliance checklists, and recommendations.
