Account to Report DS Team Lead

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is hiring an Account to Report DS Team Lead in Taguig, Philippines, as a people leader within its Global Services Finance (GSF) Accounting process area. The GSF accounting team ensures complete and accurate accounting of all transactions, including sales and purchase orders, balance sheet reconciliations and ageing monitoring. The role leads accounting and daily operations, closes financial periods on time and supports the planned separation of the Orthopaedics business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead accounting and daily operations for the GSF Accounting process areas, with timely period closing and execution in line with SLAs, compliance, internal audit and SOX requirements.
• Ensure completeness, accuracy and validity of reported actuals, and maintain strong internal controls for adequate audit ratings.
• Focus regularly on balance sheet reconciliations to minimise open items.
• Onboard and train new team members and BPO partners, and support auditors and legal authorities.
• Identify compliance risks, recommend solutions and act on worldwide policies and procedures.
• Act as a trusted business partner: support SMEs and OKCs, maintain good documentation and ensure a consistent global approach.
• Drive continuous improvement and process efficiency, and take on regional, global or cross-functional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in a shared service or BPO organisation.
• Experience in Account to Report or general accounting processes and in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Fluent English; other languages desirable. Openness to night shifts and to leading or taking part in regional/global/cross-functional work.

Required skills

• Accounting and GAAP knowledge (preferred)
• Preferred: CPA, CMA, MBA or other financial certifications, supervisory experience, work migration experience, digital/intelligent automation skills
• Preferred: solid US GAAP accounting knowledge
