Water Resources Designer – Stormwater Engineering

About the role

Join Aurecon’s Water Team at the Global Delivery Center in Manila as a Water Resources Designer focusing on stormwater engineering. You will work on diverse infrastructure projects, primarily in New Zealand, delivering innovative stormwater management solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop effective stormwater management solutions for transport, land and water infrastructure projects.
• Perform hydrological and hydraulic modelling to assess stormwater flows and system performance.
• Create low‑impact stormwater designs and ensure compliance with legislation, guidelines and industry best practices.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, design specifications and documentation for project submissions and regulatory approvals.
• Conduct site investigations, data analysis and feasibility studies to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address technical queries and deliver optimal engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in stormwater/drainage design and flood modelling.
• Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
