Transportation and Housing Support Staff

About the role

The Transportation and Housing Support Staff assists the hospital in coordinating patient, watcher, and guest transportation and accommodation. The role ensures smooth scheduling, documentation, and communication to meet hospital policies and operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with medical schedulers, social workers, and fieldwork coordinators to monitor patient flow.
• Serve as secondary contact for LGU focal persons to prioritize transportation and housing needs.
• Identify and screen patients eligible for housing and assistance programs.
• Coordinate patient transport for hospital-related activities, including transfers, laboratory tests, PhilHealth processing, and notarial documentation.
• Arrange transport from accommodations for follow‑up clinic visits and assist discharged patients to bus terminals.
• Prepare accommodations for large delegations arriving from distant provinces.
• Manage bed and room availability to prevent overbooking.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure appropriate food provisions during visits and travel.
• Maintain an updated database of patient schedules for follow‑up appointments.
• Remain available for urgent patient needs outside standard hours, including weekends and emergencies.

Required profile

• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to urgent situations.
• Commitment to infection prevention and control protocols, including handwashing and PPE use.
• Ability to identify, report, and self‑manage workplace hazards.
• Adherence to hospital quality and safety programs.
• Support for sustainable and eco‑friendly work practices.
