Technical Project Manager – Power BI Delivery

About the role

The Technical Project Manager will own end‑to‑end delivery of Power BI initiatives, from new dashboard creation to enhancements and bug fixes. You will work closely with business stakeholders, BI leadership, and cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full delivery lifecycle for Power BI projects, maintaining the BI backlog and prioritising work with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project plans, sprint schedules, and status reports across the BI portfolio.
• Facilitate requirements‑gathering sessions and translate business needs into clear specifications for the development team.
• Run Agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) and proactively track blockers, dependencies, and risks.
• Coordinate cross‑functional dependencies with GTM Operations, Data Engineering, and business teams to ensure data readiness.
• Monitor delivery metrics (on‑time rate, backlog velocity, cycle time) and document project artefacts for transparency.
• Support adoption of consistent project‑management practices, templates, and tooling standards across the BI team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of technical project‑management or delivery‑management experience supporting software or analytics teams.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule in a structured, accountable manner.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities, capable of handling multiple concurrent projects.
• Comfort operating in fast‑paced, evolving environments with shifting priorities.

Required skills

• Agile, Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
• Project‑management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet (or similar).
• Working knowledge of BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau) and reporting workflows.
• Data‑modeling concepts, DAX, SQL and data‑pipeline fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Snowflake or other GTM data platforms.
• Project‑management certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM) – preferred.
