Regulatory Affairs Officer – Legal & Compliance

About the role

The Regulatory Affairs Officer provides legal and regulatory advice to the Issuer Regulation Division, ensuring that listing and disclosure rules are applied accurately and in compliance with existing laws. The role supports the division in interpreting policies, preparing legal documents, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate listing applications, reports, disclosures and other documents for compliance with Exchange rules and policies.
• Review reports of possible non‑compliance and coordinate follow‑up actions.
• Work with the Office of the General Counsel on endorsed matters and draft legal memoranda.
• Propose revisions to listing and disclosure rules and monitor regulatory agency issuances.
• Prepare correspondence to the SEC, other regulators, listed companies and stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing the division’s business plans, budget and policy formulation.
• Review existing policies, systems and procedures and recommend amendments where appropriate.

Required profile

• Member of the Philippine Bar with an excellent academic background.
• At least three years of experience handling corporate and capital market transactions.
• Knowledge of investment banking, regulatory and compliance matters is an advantage.
• Understanding of basic financial and accounting concepts is a plus.
