Plant Operations Director – Manufacturing & Commissary

About the role

We are seeking an experienced operations leader to direct large‑scale plant and commissary functions that support a nationwide food retail network. The role oversees production, engineering, quality, warehouse, dispatch and continuous‑improvement activities across multiple facilities, ensuring efficiency, safety and consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day plant and commissary operations, including production, warehouse, engineering, maintenance, quality assurance and dispatch.
• Achieve production targets, operational KPIs and service‑level agreements while maintaining supply continuity.
• Drive productivity, waste reduction, yield optimization and process efficiency initiatives.
• Develop and execute operational strategies that enable business growth and nationwide scalability.
• Oversee manpower planning, production scheduling, plant utilization and resource allocation.
• Manage high‑volume food production processes such as batching, mixing, baking, packaging and dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, sanitation and food‑safety regulations; lead audit readiness and governance.
• Supervise plant engineering and maintenance programs to guarantee equipment reliability.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing high‑volume food manufacturing, bakery, commissary or FMCG operations.
• Proven track record in leading large workforces and complex, process‑driven production lines.
• Strong background in operational excellence, continuous improvement and scalability.
• Ability to maintain product consistency, quality compliance and safety standards.
