Plant Engineer – Wind Power

About the role

As a Plant Engineer for a wind farm in Libmanan, Camarines Sur, you will oversee the technical operations, maintenance, and reliability of wind turbine generators (WTGs) and balance‑of‑plant (BOP) systems. You will work closely with the Plant Supervisor, technicians, contractors, and OEMs to ensure safe, cost‑effective, and compliant operation of the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of WTGs, substations, and BOP equipment.
• Provide technical guidance for complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Review and approve maintenance plans, checklists, and service procedures.
• Manage contractors during major repairs and verify compliance with EHS protocols.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of turbine faults and recommend design improvements.
• Support SCADA data analysis, downtime categorisation, and KPI reporting.
• Ensure adherence to IEC 61400, Philippine Grid Code, and OEM specifications.
• Prepare technical reports, RCA documentation, and corrective‑action plans.

Required profile

• Entry‑level engineering background with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of IEC 61400, Philippine Grid Code, and RA 7920 standards.
• Ability to read technical drawings, electrical schematics, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Safety‑first mindset and experience with LOTO, high‑voltage switching, and fall protection.
• Effective leadership and communication skills for contractor management.
