Network Business Information Security Officer (BISO)

About the role

The Network Business Information Security Officer (BISO) partners with network leadership and the Cyber Security Operations Group (CSOG) to embed security requirements throughout the network lifecycle. This senior position ensures that cybersecurity controls are integrated, monitored, and continuously improved across all network functions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Network leadership and CSOG to embed cybersecurity requirements into planning, engineering, deployment, maintenance, and operations.
• Oversee network‑specific security initiatives, track remediation actions from audits and regulatory reviews, and ensure timely completion.
• Establish, mentor, and manage Security Champions across major network groups to drive ownership of security controls and secure configuration practices.
• Consolidate risk, control gaps, and vulnerability remediation status, providing regular reports to Network leadership and CSOG for risk‑based decision making.
• Act as the primary network liaison during cybersecurity incidents, coordinating response, information flow, and business impact analysis.
• Coordinate with Network Business Continuity Management to document, test, and improve cyber‑related continuity and disaster recovery scenarios.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in telecommunications or network security roles.
• At least 5 years in a leadership or governance capacity.
• Proven expertise securing large‑scale telecom or network infrastructure in regulated environments.
