Internal Audit Officer

About the role

The Internal Audit Officer will support the Internal Audit function by conducting risk‑based audits, preparing assurance reports, and communicating findings to senior leadership. This role contributes to strengthening governance, risk management, and internal controls across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance activities and self‑assessments to ensure compliance with IIA standards and company policies.
• Develop and update risk‑based audit plans, budgets, and resource allocations in coordination with senior management and the Audit Committee.
• Prepare audit objectives, scopes, risk assessments, and work programs for assigned business segments.
• Coordinate audit engagements with process owners and department heads, ensuring clear communication of objectives and timelines.
• Execute audit fieldwork, document findings, and produce executive‑level summaries for senior management and the Audit Committee.
• Maintain and update the audit manual, audit universe, and risk assurance maps.
• Report deviations, manage changes to audit plans, and support the Head of Internal Audit in overseeing the function.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or professional qualification in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Understanding of internal audit standards, risk assessment methodologies, and governance frameworks.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for synthesizing audit findings.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various business units and senior leaders.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IIA Global Internal Audit Standards.
• Experience with risk‑based audit planning and execution.
• Proficiency in preparing audit reports and executive summaries.
