Head of Finance – Renewable Energy

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead the entire finance function for a fast‑growing renewable energy company in the Philippines. Reporting to senior leadership and working closely with the headquarters in Vietnam, you will shape financial strategy, ensure compliance with local regulations, and support the company’s mission to deliver clean, affordable power.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee annual budgeting, multi‑year forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with PFRS.
• Manage tax compliance with BIR regulations, including VAT, withholding, and income tax filings.
• Strengthen internal controls, lead internal and external audits, and mitigate financial risks.
• Direct cash flow, treasury operations, banking relationships, and financing options.
• Partner with department heads on cost analysis, pricing, profitability reviews, and new business initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or related field; CPA certification in the Philippines required.
• MBA or master’s degree is a plus.
• 8–12+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, preferably in the energy sector.
• Proven leadership experience managing finance teams.

Required skills

• Expertise in Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
• In‑depth knowledge of Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) tax regulations.
• Strong competency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Experience with internal control design and audit coordination.
