General Ledger Accountant

About the role

The General Ledger Accountant will deliver timely, high‑quality financial services to internal Dover customers in Cebu. You will ensure accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of all general ledger activities while supporting month‑end and year‑end close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Process journal entries, allocations, and period‑end adjustments.
• Perform balance‑sheet account reconciliations and sub‑ledger variance analysis.
• Post and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Execute consolidations and streamline related processes.
• Monitor fixed‑asset additions, capitalizations, retirements, disposals, revaluations, transfers, and calculate depreciation.
• Reconcile the fixed‑asset ledger and provide data for tax and statutory reporting.
• Manage cash‑management activities and perform cash reconciliations.
• Provide audit support for internal and external audits.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives for general‑ledger processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Management Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Experience in general accounting with exposure to US GAAP and IFRS.
• Knowledge of Fixed‑Asset, Cash Management, and Intercompany Accounting.
• Hands‑on experience with major ERP systems (SAP, Oracle preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts, macros).
• Six‑Sigma training is a plus.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint.
