Financial Control Manager – Markets & Treasury

About the role

The Financial Control Manager will lead the Credit, MDCOO and Capital Markets team within the Markets & Treasury Finance function at ANZ. Based in Makati City, you will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining a robust control environment for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Credit, MDCOO and Capital Markets team in Manila.
• Manage end‑to‑end trial balance control processes, including balance‑sheet and profit & loss recognition.
• Ensure timely delivery of high‑quality reports, reviewing and approving P&L and month‑end reporting.
• Maintain compliance with MTFC and Group Finance guidelines, as well as statutory and regulatory reporting obligations.
• Continuously assess and streamline financial processes for efficiency.
• Participate in strategic initiatives from a Markets & Treasury perspective and broader bank projects.
• Foster a learning‑focused, proactive environment for staff.

Required profile

• Proven people‑leadership experience in financial control or treasury environments.
• Strong subject‑matter expertise in balance‑sheet and P&L accounting.
• Ability to collaborate with finance, business and non‑business stakeholders to maintain financial integrity.
• Experience in managing regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
