Experienced Tax Associate – BIR LOA Specialist

About the role

Equity Labs is seeking an experienced Tax Associate to serve as the primary point of contact for clients on tax matters. You will ensure accurate tax reviews, handle Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) assessments, and provide strategic guidance on Philippine tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve complex tax issues, especially BIR Letters of Assessment (LOA).
• Represent clients in discussions and negotiations with tax authorities.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Philippine tax laws and ensure client compliance.
• Communicate professionally with clients and government officials.
• Identify and implement process improvements for tax workflows.

Required profile

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with at least two years of tax experience in a major accounting firm.
• Proven ability to handle BIR LOAs and represent clients before the BIR.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.
• Independent, client‑focused mindset with a track record of delivering high‑quality service.
