Design Management Officer

About the role

The Design Management Officer supports construction, renovation and fit‑out projects by ensuring accurate technical designs and assisting project management. This role combines on‑site validation with detailed CAD work to deliver compliant and high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and engineers to gather and interpret structural and product requirements.
• Conduct site validations and inspections, preparing detailed reports and complete electrical and MEPFS drawings.
• Calculate dimensions, material requirements, and weight limitations to guarantee design accuracy.
• Develop detailed technical designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and REVIT.
• Create diagrams, maps, and layouts to visualize project workflows and concepts.
• Review rough sketches with the engineering team to ensure feasibility.
• Identify and resolve design issues to improve operational functionality.
• Ensure all designs comply with regulations, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
• Prepare comprehensive manuals outlining operations, features, and maintenance of designed products.
• Assist with project management tasks including scheduling, documentation, and coordination.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Architecture.
• At least 5 years of experience managing renovation and fit‑out projects.
• Basic knowledge of FirePro systems and MEPFS design and implementation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and REVIT; familiarity with 3D modeling tools is a plus.
• Strong project‑management, multitasking, collaboration and communication abilities.
• Flexibility to conduct fieldwork and report to the head office when needed.
