Design Engineer – Heavy Industry Equipment

About the role

MicroSourcing is seeking a Design Engineer to lead the creation of heavy‑industry and agricultural equipment. You will apply your extensive mechanical engineering knowledge to develop robust, innovative solutions that meet industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design and develop heavy‑industry and agricultural equipment.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of designs.
• Perform detailed engineering analysis, calculations and validation against ASME, ISO and ANSI standards.
• Create 3D models, assembly drawings and technical documentation using industry‑standard CAD tools.
• Conduct prototype testing, analyze results and optimize performance.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in agricultural and heavy‑industry equipment design.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Deep understanding of mechanical principles, material selection, structural analysis and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards (ASME, ISO, ANSI).
