Cybersecurity Analyst – Remote (Philippines)

About the role

MicroSourcing is seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to join its remote team in the Philippines. You will protect client environments by monitoring threats, investigating incidents, and driving continuous security improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to Email Phishing, Business Email Compromise, SIEM, and EDR alerts.
• Lead security incident investigations, collect evidence, perform root‑cause analysis and impact assessments.
• Develop, maintain and execute incident‑response playbooks.
• Conduct proactive threat‑hunting activities to uncover vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to communicate findings, recommendations and status updates.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT security operations, preferably in an MSP environment.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Barracuda, Proofpoint and other business‑email security platforms.
• Proven experience with SIEM, EDR and MDR tools for detection and response.
• Solid understanding of incident‑response methodologies, cyber‑security frameworks and digital forensics.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
