Cost Engineer / Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are looking for a Cost Engineer / Quantity Surveyor to provide accurate cost estimation, budgeting, and quantity surveying services throughout the project lifecycle. The role supports financial planning, resource efficiency, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate HSE requirements into cost planning and allocate budgets for HSE activities.
• Monitor project expenditures, track cost variances, and report to management.
• Audit and reconcile cost reports, identify potential overruns, and ensure contract compliance.
• Include HSE training costs in budgets and support procurement of safety training services.
• Validate cost estimates with engineering teams, review scope changes, and promote cost consciousness.
• Prepare cost reports, cash‑flow forecasts, and maintain variation registers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience in construction, preferably dams or hydro projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and contract law.
• Ability to manage material procurement schedules and subcontractor quotations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cost management software and tools.
• Familiarity with project management frameworks and techniques.
