CAD Technician – M&E Designer (Fire Safety)

About the role

We are seeking a CAD Technician to join our M&E design team, focusing on fire‑protection systems such as sprinklers and fire alarms. The role is based in our office in Mabalacat, Philippines, and offers the chance to work on projects from concept through to final delivery while contributing to safety‑critical building services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality AutoCAD drawings to support estimating, pre‑construction and project delivery.
• Standardise drawing practices to ensure consistency, accuracy and efficiency across the design team.
• Produce clear design packages that enable precise costing by estimators and subcontractors.
• Attend site surveys, generate comprehensive reports and de‑risk project delivery.
• Advise on sprinkler and M&E routes, collaborating closely with stakeholders and clients.
• Support client‑relations and pre‑construction meetings with technical expertise.
• Provide cost‑engineering advice to maximise profitability while maintaining compliance.
• Mentor new team members and share knowledge of products, British Standards and best practices.

Required profile

• Strong background in the M&E industry; fire‑systems experience is an advantage.
• Logical mindset with the ability to bring structure, repeatability and efficiency to the design process.
• Proactive, ambitious and driven to view the role as a career step.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

Required skills

• AutoCAD – 2D (essential) and 3D (desirable).
